Our client, a fast developing pastry company located in Marrickville, in the Inner West of Sydney, is seeking to hire a knowledgeable and reliable individual for this opportunity.



Main business is to provide a range of birthday cake, deserts and variety of beverages. Currently sale our products in the Asian groceries markets in the most popular Chinese favour suburbs, also provide the home delivery around Sydney. We had a large demanded bakery and desert market in Sydney and we hope we could develop our business around Australia. For more menu creating and better customer experience. You responsibilities as Pastry Chef are:

  • Lead and coordinate other members
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment
  • Maintain quality and consistent production of traditional Chinese bakery items
  • Training new staff with Chinese traditional pastry recipe
  • Ordering and managing ingredients communicating with suppliers
  • Creating weekly Chinese pastry specials each weekend
  • Research of new dessert, pastry, cake, gluten free and vegan options and bread flavor



  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in Pastry
  • Must have 10 years experience in pastry produce and research, include breads, cakes and Chinese pastry, this role allows for a great utilisation of previous skills and experience
  • Working experience as Manager or similar position in factories or retail stores
  • Ability to prioritise and be pro active
  • Strong communication skills
  • Mandarin speaker preferred
